Recent advances in topological materials have opened new avenues for studying emergent phenomena that closely resemble effects predicted in the Standard Model of particle physics and cosmology. A striking example is the axial anomaly, which manifests as negative magnetoresistance in Weyl semimetals. Given the rapid progress on both theoretical and experimental fronts, cross-field interactions have become more crucial than ever. This workshop, jointly organized by the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics and the Center for Physics of the Universities of Minho and Porto, aims to bring together experts investigating high-energy physics phenomena in Weyl and Dirac semimetals and related systems, fostering interdisciplinary discussions and collaborations.
