The aim of this workshop is to bring together experts who are working on various aspects on the strong interaction. The topics addressed range from hadron spectrum and structure calculations in QCD, addressing the role of gluon dynamics, the formation of multiquark systems, the question of confinement of quarks in hadrons and nuclei and the origin of mass, to the properties of matter in extreme conditions such as heavy-ion collisions and neutron stars.
