Scientific Programme

  • Cooperation between Iberian research communities

This track aims at describing research projects jointly undertaken by Spanish and Portuguese research institutions, either by themselves, or in cooperation with institutions from other countries as well. We welcome contributions showing complementary domain expertise and exploitation of synergic effects at the Iberian level.

  • Research applications in advanced Digital Infrastructures

This track aims at featuring work related with scientific applications.
Namely distributed computing application in Grids and Clouds, distributed data management and data processing.

  • Development of innovative software and services

The track aims to featuring innovative solutions being pursued in software and service development, enhancement and implementation. The session welcomes both production level and ongoing developments. Pilot implementations, and descriptions of the potential usability for wide user communities are also welcomed.

  • R&D for computing services, networking, and data-driven science

This track aims to show the work of computing and data centers in developing and/or implementing advanced tools, services, infrastructures and methodologies to serve the needs of cutting-edge research projects using Cloud, HPC and Distributed Computing.

  • Quality of software, services and data

This track aims at describing work related with quality validation and assurance for software, services and data. Includes adoption of quality best practices in scientific applications and the development of tools aimed at improving and verifying quality.

  • Developments oriented to foster the Compute Continuum

This track will focus on dynamic deployment of virtualized infrastructure and applications across the compute continuum. By Compute Continuum we refer to the Coordinated usage of different computational layers for efficient application execution.

  • Design and implementation of Digital Twins

This track aims at describing work towards creation of digital twins, virtual representations that serve as the real-time digital counterpart of physical objects or processes.

  • Enabling and fostering Open Science adoption

This track aims at describing research, development and implementation activities, related to applications, services, data repositories, FAIR data and open science practices in the European open Science Cloud (EOSC) or other contexts.

  • Development, implementation and operation of Data Lakes

This track aims at describing development, implementation, piloting and operational experiences with Data Lakes for research, innovation and societal progress at national, Iberian and international level.

  • Datacenter and digital infrastructures development and status reporting

This track aims to show the status of datacenters and digital infrastructures both at iberian and international level. Reporting on the current status and/or future developments of research oriented datacenters and digital infrastructures are suitable topics.
