We see the world through the light that bounces once or multiple times in objects around us. As physicists, understanding this process is essential to improve the description of the signals in experimental physics. Moreover, this could give us new insights into novel computational models for image rendering in computer graphics. In this talk, we will introduce some concepts on light reflection, starting from the simple Snell and Fresnel equations to the solutions of the Chandrasekhar theory for diffuse reflection.
