In the framework of LIP’s education and outreach activities, the new LIP premises in Lisboa provide an opportunity to strengthen our capabilities to host high school students engaged in laboratory activities, and to develop projects with schools throughout the school year. As part of the Ciência Viva summer internships at LIP, we created this year a lab with activities involving mainly computing and sensors, but that shall soon be extend to particle detection. This is the embryo of LIP-EduLab. It is now essential to open the project to the LIP community.
In this seminar, we will give a status of the installation of the laboratory and ongoing initiatives. But above all we would like to create a platform for reflection that is an incubator of new ideas and wills to participate.
