The phase-field modelling started focused on materials physics and it has been extensively explored since then in that field. Notwithstanding, the formalism behind phase-field awakened a keen interest in computational biology due to its versatility. It emerged as a new method to describe biological systems and to study different phenomena, such as: angiogenesis, cell migration, tumour growth, etc. In this talk I invite you to take a ride with me through two distinct applications of phase-field modelling, from cell migration to growing vasculatures.
