The Matrix Element Method: a complete overview and the MoMEMta package.

Description
The search for new physics at the LHC is more and more requiring the development of powerful techniques. Among these, the Matrix Element Method (MEM) is worth being mentioned. This technique is capable of exploiting the full theoretical and experimental information providing the probability to observe an experimental event under a given theoretical hypothesis. MoMEMta is a modular C++ package based on the Matrix Element Method, developed at Université catholique de Louvain, that allows the computation of the above-mentioned probability in a fast and easy way. Some use-cases will be also shown during the seminar.
