DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Paulo Braz (LIP)\n\nLUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) experiment searc
hes for dark matter using a 7-tonne dual-phase xenon detector\, operating
1.5km deep underground at the Sanford Underground Research Facility\, in S
outh Dakota\, USA. LZ continues to lead the direct searches for WIMP dark
matter above 5 GeV/c2 and has recently observed the most significant evide
nce of coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) from 8B solar
neutrinos. Recently\, LZ published a dark matter search with 2.84 tonne-ye
ars exposure in an extended nuclear recoil window up to 270 keV to probe e
ffective field theory and inelastic models of dark matter\, in a region wh
ere the known background expectation is well under one event [1]. This tal
k will present the current status of the rare event searches with LZ\, and
highlight the latest dark matter search results.[1] https://doi.org/10.4
