DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ricardo Barrué (Marietta Blau Institute for Particl
e Physics)\n\nWith no direct signs of new physics at the LHC so far\, atte
ntion has turned to subtle deviations in the interactions of the Higgs bos
on and the top quark. Finding such deviations requires both new measuremen
ts and better ways of extracting information from the data. This seminar w
ill present the first ATLAS search for CP violation in the associated prod
uction of a W and a Higgs boson (WH production)\, together with its combin
ation with other ATLAS measurements of the CP properties of Higgs–vector
boson interactions. It will then introduce neural simulation-based infere
nce (NSBI)\, which uses machine learning to estimate per-event likelihood
ratios or optimal observables directly from high-dimensional event informa
tion. A phenomenological study of NSBI applied to CP-violating and CP-cons
erving anomalous W-Higgs couplings in WH production will be presented. Fin
ally\, the seminar will discuss how NSBI is now being used in full experim
ental analyses at ATLAS and CMS\, including new CMS results on NSBI techni
ques for effective field theory measurements in the top quark sector.\n\nh
