Description

The collective dynamics of neural circuits is inherently computational: it encodes, stores and processes information via complex and distributed electrochemical interactions. In this talk, I will give an overview of how to formalize the links between brain, cognition and behavior and understand neural computation as the product of an adaptive biophysical system. I will demonstrate how the dynamics of neural circuits can be used to compute, how this view explains cognitive function and how different biophysical elements and processes contribute to cortical computation.
