Resume of the last 6 months activity
Antonio Delgado (CIEMAT-LCG2)
- Implementation of a Tier3 for local CMS analysis. This new cluster will have a dedicated WN equipped with SSD and will be accessible by Jupyter Notebooks and Condor jobs. Users in Jupyter Notebooks are authenticated by kerberos and will be served by local NFS.
- Deploying a test Dcache infrastructure (based on 8.2) and with tokens support which also requires a migration of the HTcondor to OIDC authentication.
- Other VO's supported: Biomed, Dune and SKA (local resources).
Carles (PIC / IFAE)
- Migration to AL 9 continues with many issues regarding hardware and services:
- Volume on the WN with Quincy CEPH client issues
- HTCondor 10.7 not working properly
- CTA migration (IBM tape library)
- Migration to Dcache 8.2.30 planned
- Network interoperability within the Spanish NREN.
Joao Pina (LIP/INCD)
- Upgrade of the lustre versions together with new hardware increasing storage capacity to over 800TB for each ATLAS and CMS. Addition of new worker nodes AL 8 now with over 2k CPU's.
- A lot of issues with Xroot service affecting CMS:
- Migration to version 5.5.4 allows now to support Tokens. This migration suffered a lot of problem leading to a necessity to make many small tunnings.
- New Storm WEBDAV already supports Token and should be put into production soon.
- A firewall upgrade to support IPV6 lead to many failing services. Also now services have dual networks one internal for storage access and another external.
