In this 45 seminar the role of machine learning in experimental particle physics at colliders will be discussed. Illustrative examples of the use of supervised and unsupervised machine learning in the context of the analysis of Large Hadron Collider (LHC) data will be covered. Additionally, the use of machine learning in the context of phenomenology and model building will also be presented.
