Software programming is a complex and relatively recent human activity, involving the integration of different brain functions. The neural underpinnings of source code programming skills are a matter of increasing interest in the last few years but have not been fully understood. We performed a fMRI experiment to understand those networks and help to elucidate the neurophysiological reasons why programming still led to code with errors (Bugs).
